Has Your Premises Got A Compliant Fire Risk Assessment ?
JLM Health and Safety can ensure your Fire Risk Assessment complies…
As from 1st October 2023 section 156 of the Building Safety Act 2022 (BSA) has made a number of amendments to the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2015 to improve fire safety in all regulated buildings. These improvements require the duty-holders’ responsible person for the premises to have a record of the Fire Risk Assessment.
No matter who carries out your fire risk assessment, duty-holders retain responsibility for ensuring that the assessment fulfils the requirements of the law.
If you have duties under Fire Safety law, you are not expected to be an expert in assessing and controlling fire safety risks, but when employing a contractor such as JLM Health and Safety to help you with an assessment you should ensure that the contractor is competent to properly undertake the work.
JLM Health and Safety can complete your fire risk assessment as your competent person, and can provide evidence of experience and professional indemnity insurance.
